TOWN CENTRE WHAT’S ON
We are about to embark on a right royal weekend in Andover Town Centre. Organisations and businesses alike are pinning up the bunting and decorating their windows and the streets in red, white and blue. We have put together a summary of everything that we are aware of in the Town Centre this Coronation weekend. We hope to see you there!
Saturday 6th May
The Chantry Centre – Celebrate the coronation with some royal themed storytelling, whilst making crowns in the indoor garden area, then have your photo taken on a fabulous throne.
Sessions at 10am – 11am, 11:15am – 12:15pm, 12:45pm – 1:45pm
and 2pm – 3pm
Chantry Indoor Market 9.30am – 4pm
The market will be back in the Chantry Centre, so pop for some treats to share with or give to friends and family this weekend.
High Street activities 12pm – 4pm
Come watch or dance along to the live music playing from 12pm-4pm in Front of the Guildhall while you shop around the market this weekend. Our InAndover gazebo will house free face painting and balloon crown making activities from 12pm – 2pm. An opportunity for children to get into the spirit of the day. Coronation Entertainment
The Andover Museum Garden Party 12pm – 3pm
There will be free refreshments and lots to do! Make a crown to wear, do a royal trail and get an activity pack to take home. All visitors coming in fancy dress receive a prize!
Drop in craft activities.
There are three local venues that are screening live coverage of the Coronation itself. Join Wessex Spirits and The Andover Tap who will have special cocktails and a BBQ. The Station Inn who are having a Family Day with posh sandwiches and homemade cakes. The Town Mills who will lay on coronation quiche, scones and cocktail offers.
Join St Mary’s Andover for their Big Coronation Get Together from 2-4pm to eat and dance together to melodic tunes sung by Jane Deer!
White Hart Andover – Join them to celebrate the coronation with some live music in the carpark, family games and great food. Starts from 4pm till late.
Pop along to the coronation party night disco taking place from 8pm till late.
Make a commemorative medallion at the Andover Museum. Create your own souvenir of King Charles’ coronation out of clay. Drop in craft activity suitable for 4+. All children must be accompanied.
