Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Street Festival
Andover has a long tradition of celebrating Royal Jubilees and significant moments in royal history. The people of Andover will once again come out to celebrate in the Market Square for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Street Festival, which is being held on Friday June 3rd 2022. This is a free event for all ages, featuring a rich medley of food & drink, live music and dance, and an interactive arts trail.
The event aims to celebrate the rich diversity and talent of Andover and it’s residents in the reign of Queen Elizabeth II. There will be a large stage situated in front of the Guildhall. We have organised a hugely diverse range of performances for you from local professional and amateur groups throughout the day. A Street Food market will include flavours from around the world – produced by local businesses, community groups and individuals, and African Drumming workshops will run throughout the day at Riverside Park.
To help you make a day of it there will also be royal themed storytelling sessions, a Magician, Punch and Judy show, Wessex Film and Sound Archive cinema tent, and art workshops at various locations including The Chantry Centre, Andover Library, Chapel Arts Studios and Andover Museum.
The Andover Street Festival will be led by a consortium of organisations including Chapel Arts Studios, InAndover (from the Andover BID) and the Test Valley Arts Foundation.
